Tipping Update – Round 4

It may be a cliché but a week in footy is indeed a long time. So too, a week in footy tipping. After three rounds to assess the form of the 16 AFL teams, the PMFC Tipping League got underway this week with the first head-to-head round. Here’s a little run-down of the weeks happenings:

Tipping/Dreamteam Update Rd 3

The opening rounds for feeling your way in to the respective competitions are now over. Next week it is down to business in both competitions as the head-to-heads start up. Hopefully this week we can get rid of at least two of the celebrity coaches to be replaced with our own kind. This weeks results […]

Tipping and Dreamteam Updates Rd 2

Until both competitions begin properly it seems pointless to write two separate posts. So, this weeks run-down goes a little something like this…

Tipping Rd 1 Update

As with Dreamteam the real action starts in Rd 4. However, with the table having been updated (now that rd 2 is almost done)it’s worth mentioning that the Taffmeister Flex himself and Jimmy ‘I love your way!’ Bigmountain rule the tipping roost in Round 1 which 7 correct scores apiece. Opening round douchebags are Boyd, […]

Dreamteam Update Rd 1

Well, well, well…. the dreamteam competition has, unsurprisingly, not drawn as many participants as the simple tipping but a healthy 9 competitors started their campaign this week. The league has been filled with celebrity coaches in order for the competition to work when it starts in earnest in Rd 4.

More silverware for Port Malmö

Port Malmö came home victorious from the inaugural AFL Sweden indoor tournament in Jönköping. The competition drew teams from Malmö, Karlstad, Falun and two from Gothenburg. Port managed to go undefeated through the round-robin tournament and, even more impressively, did not give up a single goal in four matches.

Port Malmö Best and Fairest

Port Malmö’s Best and Fairest evening was held on Saturday, 3rd October. The clubs first DAFL premiership season was celebrated in style. Many thanks to all involved in organising, preparing, partying and cleaning! So, it went a little bit like this…

Maulers fight-back secures double chance!

Port Malmö 13.7 (85) def. Copenhagen 9.11 (65) A decimated Port Malmö ground out it’s eigth win of the campaign on Saturday to ensure the all-important double chance in the finals. In the absence of a number of key players, Port proved that the squad has more depth than at any time previously by overcoming […]

Malmö still on track for double-chance

Helsingborg 2.10 (22) defeated by Port Malmö 16.13 (109) The second installment of the back-to-back Skåne derby went much the same way as the first. Port Malmö overpowered Helsingborg who, whilst  more competitive thanks the return of Barté, De Nartris and the addition of IC physio Sweeney in a guest appearance, still struggle to kick […]
