Judging by the levels of web activity and the number of questions at training, Dreamteam Updates have not been missed in the slightest in the last 3 weeks. Nonetheless, like an American army, I’ll continue with my plan regardless of what my peers think. There’s a lot to catch up on so I’ll keep it as short as possible. Check out the ladder here.

Round 7 –  All games went pretty much as expected this week. Jamie and Parker scored well with MacBride edging out Leigh Matthews in a ripper. Chocko smashed Pepe to take him to the top of the ladder with Luke Darcy who stuffed Jim Campion. These two would meet in Round 8 in what was no doubt the game of the season thus far.  More about that below. Adam Goodes saw off Taff easily enough to stay unbeaten. Mooses Hack gave Big Barry a serious pasting with a solid 1939. Dave Oz continued his patchy form losing to the Roosters of Jonathan Brown. After round 7 the Normals trailed the Celebs 10-8

Round 8 – So, on to the big one. Two unbeaten sides. First versus second. Darcy the favourite averaging over 2000. Alas, Chockos Tops saved their best for the big occasion. In a fantastic contest both teams scored highly with the Chocolate One finally edging Darcy out 2034-2030. A mere four points. Supreme excitement! Parker continued his march with with a whopping score of 2166. The Celebs stretched out their lead to 12-9. Devastating.

Round 9 – The Sons of Sweden sit alone at the top of the ladder, the only team with a 100% winning record intact after Chockos Tops fell at the hands of Big Bird. The feathered ones are up to third in the ladder.  A surprise dip in form saw Nunga Magic fall prey to Lethals Lions, costing him his winning streak and dropping him to fifth. Another form dive saw MacWarriors lose out to the resurgent Taffmeisterflexers. Darcy Delights maintained their form to hold off a much-improved Bustler outfit who may cause a few upsets after looking like easy-beats thus far. Swanbourne Mavs kept themselves in the hunt with a routine victory over Pepe’s toothless Alligators. The Dukes of Royale remain winless following a defeat against the Roosters. A certain Dreamteam updater hopes they remain that way for another week. Luke and his Hacks comfortably saw off Campions boys. Looks like Jim will be struggling to make the 8. This does not bode well for the normals who fill 4 of the bottom 5 spots on the ladder.

The “Norms”  have slumped to a five point deficit. Oh dear! 14-9!

And……. we’re back up to date. Thanks for your patience, dear readers. Au revoir!
