Aussie rules footy in Malmö

Home Ground

Limhamn

The beloved Limhamn Australian Football Ground… spiritual home of the Maulers. Check out the Calendar for when we’re playing and training (Tuesdays from April) here. Malmö isn’t the biggest city – you can easily ride or walk down to the ground. But if that’s not your thing, take bus #7 from Central toward Ön and hop off at the stop Nordmannagatan (green markers on map). If you’re driving, parking is best in the area above the ground (orange markers).

And for those wondering, the oval is 137 long and 110m wide (as of start season 2014).

Training Ground

Tallriken

This is where we train on Thursdays (when it’s not, way too f&#$ing cold to be outside, aka March). It’s also close to Bakfickan pub for the Thursday night team announcement.

Tallriken (“The Plate”). It’s very central, so it’s easiest just to walk/ride/drive here.

Indoor Winter Training

Malmö Latinskola

Winter training is only once a week, but it is great for the soul. We meet out the front of the school’s sports hall at around 20:25 on Monday and go through the locked doors together. If you’re running late, give us a call (or hope we come and get you, which we probably will).

Other Grounds

The Maulers play everywhere. Malmö, Copenhagen, Aalborg, RandersFarum, Helsingborg, and occasionally even Landskrona, Göteborg, Stockholm, and beyond.

But being the champion team we are, transport is always arranged for the players. Generally it’s in the car of a fellow player, who may or may not have a dislike of red lights.

If you have no idea where we’re heading one particular week, or if you’re a local in a far off city that wants to know where to come and see the mighty Maulers play, get in touch.
